Hi, I'm Barbara Norman, though most people call me Babs. I'm a New York photographer, and Babs Boutique NYC is where my photographs become something you can wear.

Every print starts with a picture I took: the Brooklyn Bridge, NYC street art, a city street light glowing through the rain, Gaudí's La Pedrera in Barcelona, the gargoyles of Prague, the sand and moss of a California beach. I turn each image into an original fabric design, then into limited-run silk scarves, kimonos, blouses, skirts and dresses, made to feel as good as they look, with soft, flowing fabrics and flattering shapes. I also hand-print my black-and-white photographs onto upcycled vintage bottles, so no two Babs Bottles are alike.

My clothes are made to be lived in. Wear one piece as a quiet statement or go head-to-toe in a print. Either way, it's art that moves with you.
